The role as Owner's Engineers is to represent the operator's (owner's) interest, ensuring that every system, document, and device in hazardous areas meets the applicable ATEX, IECEx, and local regulations.
To act as the link between engineering, safety, and compliance — combining practical experience from industry with certification-level understanding.
Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) – zoning studies, drawings, gas/dust assessment (IEC 60079-10-1/-10-2)
Design Review – verification of Ex equipment selection and EPL/category alignment
Explosion Protection Documentation (EPD) – preparation, review, and maintenance
Inspection & Audit – periodic Ex inspections (IEC 60079-17) and compliance audits
Training & Competency – tailored courses for maintenance, inspection, and management teams
Digital Ex Register & AI Tools – implementation of ExAI and ATEXdb integration for lifecycle management
Owner's Representation – liaison with notified bodies, integrators, and authorities
