Considering any industry site there are 3 basic frameworks:
- work-,
- fire-,
- environmental protection.
If we add explosion protection / hazloc, it comes to more complEx requirements in terms of overall safety requirements. Here Ex safe operation shall be the overall lead.
All 3 basic fundamentals like work / fire / environmental protection are with dedicated meaning and limited scope if Ex is there.
We may say in case of Ex, explosion protection is the roof...
and all others are the columns.
What does it say to us? If Ex, the final compliance shall consider the aspects of overall Ex safe operation. And all basic frameworks like work / fire / environmental protection shall address the Ex safe operation.
