Ex inspection is not an independent personnel competency. It is part of competencies of the Ex technician and Ex supervisor. Ex technician can do detailed-, visual- and close inspection, Ex supervisor can do visual and close inspection. All defined in the relevant standard.

"Competency can be demonstrated in accordance with a training and assessment framework relevant to national regulations or standards or user requirements."
